How It Works

A simple, step-by-step guide to our free Disability Benefits Readiness Screening

1

Answer Guided Questions

Answer questions about your age, work status, medical condition, and how your condition affects your daily activities. The screening takes about 3–5 minutes and is completely free.

What we ask about: Your contact information, age range, work status, monthly earnings, medical condition, condition duration, functional impact, and medical records history.

2

We Organize Your Information

Your responses are organized based on publicly available SSA information, including the Blue Book listings and work-related factors. This helps you see what information you have - and what may be missing.

Important: This tool does not predict SSA outcomes, assign scores, or determine whether SSA will approve a claim. Only the SSA can make that determination.

3

Receive Your Readiness Report

Get a personalized summary of your situation, a documentation checklist, and suggested next steps - based on your answers and publicly available SSA information. The report is yours to keep and print.

Your report includes: Medical evidence checklist, work and daily limitation summary, possible missing information alerts, and suggested next steps to consider.

4

Decide on Your Next Steps

Review your Readiness Report and decide what makes sense for you. You may want to gather more records, visit SSA.gov, or speak with a disability advocate or representative. That choice is entirely yours.

Optional advocate contact: At the end of the screening, you may choose to request contact from a participating disability advocate or representative. This requires your separate, explicit consent and is never automatic.
